The centre at Kyoto University will serve as the General Office for INDAS. INDAS aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the present dynamism of India from a holistic and long-term perspective. It also aims to establish research networks in Japan and abroad in order to construct the organizational basis necessary to develop Contemporary India Area Studies. We have launched a new series called ‘Routledge New Horizons in South Asian Studies’.
